Not a regulator?

Hey all,

trying to identify the component below on my 1977 XS650.

I just put on the combo regulator/rectifier unit, and have removed the regulator + rectifier, but now I'm seeing this, and it's awful close to looking like the regulator. Is this is the neutral safety relay?

I don't have any neutral signals on my dash, so do I need this if not?

seeing now, it's the safety relay.

Do I need this? I have a PMA so the yellow wire isn't needed.

I have electric start and am planning on keeping the electric start.
