Anyone ever put Marvel Mystery in crank case?
I've used it in my gas but never in oil. Any thoughts on that?

I've heard of it being done, long ago.
I've only used it on my pneumatic wrenches.

I wonder if it's different from long ago, like the changes to WD-40, and any old-school experiences are obsolete...

I had a tech put Marvel Mystery Oil in a Pullstar 8000 pneumatic winch air line drip-feed for the gangway on my ship; it swelled the rubber, including the check-ball controlling the pneumatic brake, jamming it on; I had 20 hours into tearing that stupid winch down TWICE before I found the problem.

Another tech put it into the crankcase of a 20,000 psi Hydroblaster, in place of the required Mobil 1. Ugh.

Not a fan of MMO... Smells nice though!

I had an Olds rocket 88 with 11.5 to one compression and could never get it to stop knocking on acceleration
even after a head rebuild. One day I put some Mystery oil in the gas and all knocking stopped ( I had tried various
octane boosters ) . Also I was told that the Mystery Oil IS the same as K&N filter oil only at a fraction of the cost.
For what it's worth I think it'd great stuff. Driving the Olds from California to Florida got me 20 MPG at 70 MPH
and it just run super smooth.

I add few oz ZDDP to every oil change,Dino 20w50 Bike oil. Have no idea if its doing anything
but I dont think it can hurt. I tried syncing few years ago and I sprouted leaks everywhere Lol!!

I don't put additives in my oil.
I do put stuff if the gas. Not at every fill up but a few times a year I add Sea Foam. At the end of year I put in the Marine version of Sta-Bil. This helps prevent some of the issues alcohol causes in the tank and carbs.
A neighbor has an old Chevy. Not sure of model or engine, he puts a quart of diesel duel in the tank at every fill up. He claims the engine likes it. Like 650trader talks about using MMO, but cheaper.
