Lord let me be upon my two wheels today
Let me be safe and have a big smile

Its not how fast she'll go but the breath of the mile
that I need

Had my share of spice before things got this crazy.
May be slowin' down but I'm not too lazy.

My welding skills be sloppy but they'll grow
I misplace tools ... and gee I don't know

Whaddya get fer
Whatddya have to give?

Ask me agin' an I'll re-ponder the past
How'd things ever git this durned fast?

That fender ... dunno if I likes it
or that seat? maybe I hates it

I'm a fool for a 650, or an 850
For a twin, for a triple or a four

But to ride agin's my goal today
And to each his own I always say.

Just like it's author the poem is original.

Wolfchen's been ridin' two wheelers since 1972.

Pic is of a custom XS850 I did.

Welcome here! :)

Thanks for this, Wolfchen! This is a great piece! I especially love this:

Its not how fast she'll go but the breath of the mile
that I need...

That just speaks to me... beautiful imagery! Love that! :)

Beautiful bike, too!
