If like me you have ever wondered what’s inside a transistor ignition amplifier box well, here it is all laid bare.
After being gifted a Black box that didn’t work I thought it would be interesting to remove the case and pick out all the potting compound. Took me a couple of hours interspaced with periods of soaking in acetone to soften the potting medium.
There are a couple of damaged components that I did but it’s all there.
I’m not into electronics but I know some of you are.
I don’t think anyone would go to this extent to repair a device like this as it’s not cost effective.
Im blaming the Lockdown.
