Chopping boards, cheapest source of good plastic for many projects.
Approaching the local deli counter can reveal a source of larger than domestic ones, made of very good engineering plastic.
Usually available in gaudy colours, of course.

I have come across some nice ones . But very expensive .I use the dollar store ones to make perf boards for projects , project box covers etc. I just bought some HF rotary cutters that I hope will shape these nicely. Wally World house brand cutting boards are pretty good .
Shaped like plate steel and cuts like wood. Good stuff.

But it appears to be known how the Gonzo box triggering device look Jims # 157
One way forward perhaps is to get one such rotor from a Salvage somewhere or just make a simple rotor with equal weights for balance and then spin it
that rectangular part there --
in a lathe ore something looking at the Output signal on a Oscilloscope or so
The pickup is already in house so to speak if I get this right.
Again not so updated on the project so this is perhaps done already

The Gonzo dyno has been running for a long time. Jim runs one also with posted scope traces of stock tci among other things.
