Ain't that the truth! Didn't plan on cracking this motor open but kinda wondering.

One the GSXR1000 I just rebuilt there are oil passages which feed the transmission bearings. These passages are created when you mate the top case with the middle case. You don't use any sealant in those areas. Guess what they globbed silicon are over and plugged those passages. Took me two hours to clean it all out. I do not use the stuff Just a PITA.

At the very least, remove the oil feed tube make sure the orifice isn't plugged!
