Pressing Cam Gear

Anyone have an idea on how much pressure needed to press off and on a cam gear? Will the small bench top 6 ton HF work? I guess it should since i read someone has heated one up and tapped the gear off and on with hammer pressure???

Anyone use and arbor press?

6ton might work
I use a 20 shop size arbor press.
I know that will work.
and of course it is very important to get the new gear on in just the right place.

I used a friends 20 ton today. Easy work. If a bench top 6 ton would do it that would be easier to store when not being used.
