I've got a shouldered alum 18" rear wheel with rusted hub and spokes, going to cut them off and lace them up to a xs2 (I believe it is) front hub. I think it's xs2 because it has the separate rotor / mount on the front hub.

My final product is going to have matching 18's in front and back with Metzeler Tourance type enduro tires.

My understanding is that I need the front spokes from an RD400? Can anyone confirm this?

I know there's going to be a slight bore angle issue on the rim, and any links towards that would be appreciated.

I think it's RD350 spokes but the 400 may be the same. Do some part # comparisons and see.

I think the XS2 hub the rotor floats on rubber bushings. It was a two piece rotor.
The 73 to 76 rotors were a two piece rotor that bolted right to the hub.
In 77 they went to the one piece rotors.

I did this and used XS-360 spokes, but I'm pretty sure they are the same as the RD350/400. Drilling the rim holes to adjust the angle is pretty easy, just take your time.
