Rear axle size & Engine Mount?

looking for your guys knowledge.

-I tried searching the forums but couldn't find a clear answer. But If i have a 72 frame, then I would need the shorter rear axle right? is it 73' and up that uses the longer rear axle?

-Got a 81' engine in a 72' frame. Would i need the engine mounts from 81? or a 72?. Theres only a few bracket spots too right? front bracket, top bracket, and 2 spots where the a bolt slides through the engine. I think i've seen a rear bracket spot too?

The 70-73's use a shorter rear axle, 74+ uses the longer one.
I have a 73 engine in an 81 frame, and I use the 81 mount set. You match the mounts to the frame, as the engines are all identical as far as mounting points.

The engine mounts on a 70-73 frame are completely different. the front mount is two individual pieces where on a 74'up it is one piece. the top mount is almost the same except the very top part . the rear mount has smaller frame holes and the mount isn't as off set. if your looking for a complete set there is a person on ebay selling the complete set starting at $20.
