Where you at? ...east coast eh?
LaSalle Road, West Hartford, CT ?
Great detective work !
Those are some beautiful exotics, so which one was yours?
When I go to Car or Motorcycle shows , lots of thoughts go through my mind , history, style, culture, etc. and finally thoughts of me driving
each and everyone one of them. And I start smiling.....
Mine is a 1974 TX650A which is becoming one with my sidecar soon.
Ooooh....I do hope you will do a write up about that with lots of photos!
Scripto, just my opinion I would rather spend time looking at your sidecar outfit than all those rich boy toys!
By the way what kind of sidecar are you going to be mounting to it?
any weekend here... many car shows... 100's of cars.. we just had " Back to the 50's " over 12000 1964 and older. Once a year they have "Wheels of Italy "..new models... even the Rolex dealer has a booth...anything from Italy.... enjoy the old 500 Fiat's....Fix It Again Tony...I ride my Ducati..get a goodie bag full of swag...….they have all Ford show.. many theme shows.. the local Coffee and Cars... rich guy garage condos...open the grounds once a month for the public.. serious moola cars... Luv cars.. but as they say... 2 wheels move the soul
Agreed - cars are fun but motorcycles are funner!
Harummph! Do you think any of them assembled any of those cars from bins and boxes of parts? You can do anything you want when you have too much money (there actually is such a thing). And when you have that much money, you can pay somebody else to turn the wrenches. Anybody wanna see a real car show? Come to the Syracuse Nationals, at the New York State Fair Grounds, in Syracuse, NY (the name kinda says it all). Last year, there were over 8,000 cars! You'll see a lot of cars there that were nut-and-bolt restorations, done in someone's garage, over the course of a real long time (kinda like Mailman's '72!). Sweat. Blood. Sleepless nights. Passion. Love. THAT's a car show!
I could not agree more with doing your own work vs utilizing your resources to have someone else do all the work. A full meaningful life is not being rich, being popular, being highly educated or being perfect. I think it is more about being real, being humble and being able to share thoughts and interests and to hopefully ( I guess ) touch the lives of others on this board.
I have included a couple pics of my side car project. Only a couple because I am so intimidated by many of you with your incredible skills.I don't want to post my build thread until I know "IT" works.
My tank and seat etc are hot rod primer gray, I Painted the side car to match. Pin striping next up .
I was recently in a diner in Brooklyn having coffee, just mostly people watching. My eye caught on old weathered had painted sign hung up on the back wall
It really resonated with me how about you ?
