Well I forgot to mask to mask off top of my steering stem on my frame before I got it powder coated and now need to remove said powder coating. What would be the best way to get the powder coat removed?

I would ask the powder-coater. They may be able to advise you on it. I am sure that it has happened to them once or twice. The last thing you want is for it all to peel/chip off starting where you removed it.

Hah two questions on the same subject...go figure

I've used gasket stripper, not sure about Canadia eh but us Aussies get a version of this American product:

You can mask off the area with quality tape (3M) and a bit of cardboard. Spray on then scrape the pc off. You'll know when because the coating softens and bubbles up...

I've used this on a frame where there was pc accidentally sprayed over the VIN, careful masking and even more careful scraping saved the day.

I've done both Dremel and scraping, this method is much cleaner...

Good luck!

I tried a basic automotive spray on paint remover that I used to remove the old clear coat on my engine side covers and and it worked perfectly.
