I just bought a 77D model, sight unseen, off ebay that is basically stock and in very good shape; LUCKY ME! After the bike was delivered I noticed It had an electronic ignition installed. I have no experience with these things and am perfectly satisfied with the point set up on a 650 plus it looks as though whoever put it in didn't do a very good job. Is it a lot of trouble to go back to the stock configuration? Joe

Well, if you can round up the needed parts, it's not hard. Many times electronic set-ups eliminate things like the advance rod, points plate(s), and advance unit. If you can pull all that off a parts motor for cheap then fine. If you need to buy it new, you might be better off putting the money towards a new Pamco set-up.
