Round chrome taillight ***SOLD***

01/18/10: Sold

LED taillight, I am not going to use this, I'm not sure if it works I hook up the wires to a battery and the leds don't come on, so I don't know. It has a fitting inside so it can hold a regular bulb, the red lens is glass because it is heavy, chrome is in real nice condition, There is a custom bracket that will go with it (needs to be painted) $40 or best offer, plus shipping

So it works or doesn't work? If it takes a regular bulb, what makes it LED? Does it have both an incandescent bulb and LEDs? It looks like it takes a regular bulb and doesn't come on when you hook it up because there is no bulb in it. Maybe the way the glass is makes it look like it's an array of LEDs

It looks decieving thru the glass. It has a led plate behind the glass and yes it also has a socket so you can run a regular bulb. Now, the L.E.D. lights do not light up when i hook the wires to a battery and yes the battery is fully charged. So you can take the L.E.D. plate out and run a regular bulb and no there is no regular bulb put in it right now.

Maybe a dumb question, but led's will only work with the right polarity, did you try swapping the wires around?

yamaman, no your right, I was keeping the black to the ground when I was swapping the red and the white wires from positive. I'll try rotating all 3 wires tonight. thanks

ahh.. gotcha! Thanks for clearing that up. Didn't know they made lights with both! I guess the "duolamp" on the top should have given it away!

Bigpup, could you take a photo with a known referance, like a 12 oz. can next to it, cause I am interested in that style lamp.

15oz. Dole can closest thing I had next to a pop can
