Rusty spokes

    Didn’t spend a ton of time on the wheel but here’s the result. Pictures make it look better than it actually is, but ok for an enduro bike. Used 0000 steel wool then Autosol metal polish. Will try other suggestions on the back wheel that’s in rougher shape.

    That's come up really well.
    All this talk of spokes is giving me shudders, when I recall what a pain in the ass they were to keep clean and rust-free in the winter with salty roads.
    I'd quite forgotten, as I've had mag wheels for the past 30 years. Can't say I miss the spokes at all, nice though they are to look at.

    Had a go at the rear wheel. It was in worse shape. 0000 steel wool; dremel tool with a wire brush; Autosol polish using a narrow Velcro strap and many minutes later looked not bad. More to do but done for the day. Before and after pics below.

    Tire,Tube, Sprocket.. looks like its time to polish spokes too..

    May be easier with the wheel off of the bike. It was a pita on the sprocket side. Worth the effort tho. Concerned how quickly they may rust once ridden. I;l finf out in the springtime.
