SEAT? What year is this? I bought the wrong one.

I just bought what I thought would fit my '73 off someone on CL. Totally my fault - I saw that it had mounting holes for side hinges and assumed all years that mounted that way were the same. Either that my bike has had its mounting hinges moved. I have a few inquiries:

1. Do the hinges seem to be welded in the correct *stock* location on my frame?
2. Can anyone tell me what years will fit my '73 frame? (assuming my hinges are in the stock location)
3. Can someone tell me what year this one is so I can sell it?

The frames changed in '74. You have what appears to be a '74-'76 seat. It will fit up to '79 but the cover was a little different style on the last couple years (same pan). Look at the seat section on the MikesXS site for more info.

Hmmmm - That sucks. My frame's hinge locations look stock for the '73 and earlier though, right?

Yes, they look original for the older style.

Thanks - I couldn't find any evidence of an original hinge position being lapped off, but I wanted to make sure.

Someone sell me their 73 and earlier seat or pan!
