Seating the mains.

I mark (black marker) 180 degrees from the holes on the crank... then I know where the hole is at the bottom while look'n from the top........ the bearing cage does move slightly side to side.... line up the markers... lay the crank in.. and gently adjust the bearings... once they all drop in you'll feel it bottom out with no rock'n side to side...
 
Best I can remember there's already a little score already there that should be level with the case face. Maybe not. For a final check, I raised the end of the crank just a hair and turned the bearing back and forth and you can feel the pin, which is a little smaller than the hole, hit the sides of the hole. Then raise the other end a hair and check
