Increases overlap, tightens Lobe Separation Angle. Probably pushes (or tries to push) tq/hp higher in the RPM range and makes the engine idle a little more 'rumpety'.

Or wrecks your torque curve if the other valve events and engine physics aren't correct for the later exhaust close point.
