side stand

Was wondering what the spring for the side stand is supposed to hook to, (besides the kick stand). Is there supposed to be something on the frame, if so, what? Thanks.

Probably but the 82 83 have provisions for the starter interlock switch.

I think the 75 is like the early bikes and just had a peg welded on the frame bracket that the spring hooks over. The 77 up have a much different way of doing the sidestand.

Mine is a 75... It has the bracket for the shoulder bolt, but the frame only has a blob of weld on it.

Thanks for the replies fellers, that pick says it all. I figured the spring was supposed to connect to a pin or lobe with a hole. I'm sure what I see on my frame is what's left after it broke off.
I'll figure out something to make it work, thanks again for the info guys.
