"Rebuilding" a set of rfy shocks. I've read that they perform decent with proper fluid level and nitrogen charge. I figure at $50 and some time it's worth a shot.

Due to the location of the drilling, there is minimal loss in strength. Webbing between ribs is typically non-structural, so drilling holes here shouldn't compromise anything.

I did the math on my wheels with nearly the same speed holes and you shave about .4 lbs?

Compared to a few other wheels I've seen pictures of I have quite a bit of material left. Compared to modern wheels these things are pretty overbuilt.

I didn't weigh anything before I started, so no clue on how much weight was removed. I did it more for cosmetics.

Same here. Ive the weights written down somewhere, I'll try and remember to share with you. I was expecting higher numbers, but as you said, the wheels are quite overbuilt. I did it for the lightweight look on my skinny bobber that will hopefully be finished someday...

Just need to make a pair of spacers and a brake stay then the 19" swap is done. Using an fzr400rr caliper hanger with an fz1 caliper. Rotor is waiting on bolts to mount, but it's a rotor for a honda ruckus, ID was opened up and OD was turned to 215mm to fit the bracket.

Well I have to modify my wheel spacers, the wheel need to move 8.5mm to the left to get centered and align the sprockets. Also used machinist jacks to get it sitting where the seat tubes are level and it'll need 335mm shock length.

Yes the rear tire has no air, it's how the wheel came and since the tire will be replaced I don't care.

Well if you want a 12.7 or 11mm master cylinder check out the ones from a cbr250. ABS models have a 12.7mm, and non-ABS models have an 11mm. Nice and compact too, with built in brake switch and lever that will clear a switch pod.

Also got started on my bluespot caliper adapter. Since I don't have a CNC it'll take some hand finishing. But overall a nice simple part to make.
