Hi folks,
I've been reading through the threads for a couple of weeks trying to advance my backyard mechanic skills but might be in a little over my head lol. I bought an 82 xs but don't think I'm getting spark. It looks like the PO changed the charging system to a PMA and the ignition looks like a PAMCO system. But it might be one of the older models? I checked the coil with a multimeter and it looks like its ohms level is in the right range. I tried to check the PAMCO but not sure I'm doing that correctly. Also, it looks like the PO might have unhooked the RH switches. Would the kill switch unhooked stop if from having spark? What are my next steps? Or do I need to work on strengthening my kicking leg lol
