Speedometer??

What are you using and where did you get it from?

MikesXS is asking a ridiculous amount of money ($109) for a very average speedo. Cheapest they have is $49... Which is fine, but I'm on a budget. $49 is more than any one single part I've bought for this bike other than wheels and tires.

I've heard of people using a bicycle speedo if you can find one that goes to 100mph or what ever limit you want I've seen them between 10 and 50 bucks

Much appreciation. I'm trying to keep the build under $500... The speedo from Mike's won't break me or the bank, just trying to save some loot. $45 isn't that bad when a 20 year old stock speedo is $35.

When I install it I will check the speed with a GPS to see how perfect this show the speed, I dont know is the ratio of this match with the bike, anyway I put a original size front tire...

I spit out a bit of my beer when I read this. Lame, but it made me laugh. BTW, I'm going without speedo and tach, I've had busted cars where the speedo didn't work, no big deal. I only drive around town and traffic is a good point of reference.
