Hello everybody,
I've just rebuilt both my carbs and cannot find a specific reference to the numbers of turns out for the mixture screws of my BS34's. The Clymers manual has specifics for type 'A' 'B' 'C' 'D' and 'E' engine variants but it isn't clear which one the SJ from 1982 is, am I correct to assume that the latest variant ('E') is the setting I should use on a completely stock '82 XS650?
Thanks in advance for any responses,
Matt

Stock '82 had BS34's, not a VM.

The stock BS34 would be 3 to 3.5 turns out, which lets more fuel in, the VM34 is opposite. So turning a VM screw in increases fuel. 3/4 turned out is base.
