Strange idle--- AF screw

Hey guys I went out on my second ride today. While idling at a light the motor shakes and the rpms go up slightly then drops down. Running straight pipes, VM34 and pods. I thought it may be the throttle sticking but it'll happen after sitting for a while at the light.

On a VM34 do you turn the mixture screw out to richen the mixture? Thanks

On VM carbs the mixture screw controls air.

Out is leaner, In is richer.

Usually 1.5 turns out but that can change drastically with engine/carb/exhaust configurations.
