Holy Crap, am I the only guy who never thought about installing pistons, the easy way from the bottom????

What do you mean "from the bottom"? At first we were attempting to install pistons and trying to compress the rings, but one of them broke. I ended up having to order another ring set from Japan, and re-hone the cylinder. Second time we slid them in and then put the pins through, it worked.

Well thats kinda what I was trying to say. seems like a brilliant way to avoid the hassles when the pistons are hung on the rods first.

When the pistons are connected to the rods first, you have to use a ring compressor on both pistons while sliding the barrels down. Thats very akward, and thats how we broke a ring. I like the other way much better.

Bike is almost done, just need get the exhaust welded and then I can take it apart for final finishing.
