Suggestions on re mounting stock tank.

Hello fellas. I'm interested in raising the stock tank on my 80' XS650 so it sits higher on the frame. Basically just want to lift the front a few inches for a better line, keeping the back end where it is. This is part of a full customization of my bike. Is it do-able? Anyone have a suggestion on how to re mount? Possibly welding on tabs and running a bolt through?

if you do this, you might consider cutting off, welding that post that the tank bolts to in the back at a different angle so the rubber dosnt de-form.
as for the front, drill out the spotwelds on the cups an reposition them higher.
cant go too high, or the upper tree will hit the tank. post some picks after you do this.
Ide like to see a altered stocker.
