I just read about a Swap meet in Syracuse NY. Feb 11-12. If you want to google it Syracuse Super Swap 2012. It's at the State Fair grounds. I'll try to make it.

When I lived in western NY. I would try to go to this meet every year. The last time I went, this meet was going in the same direction as all other meets. New leather, and jewelry. I did find some stuff for a bike I was building at the time. This was 5 or 6 yrs. ago so I doubt that the leather, and jewelry tables have gotten smaller.

I agree that most places have gotten that way. To commercial. I will try tomake it and see what it's like.
May take a couple of my bikes up and see if anyones interested in buying them.
The 81 XS650 Special, and the 80 Honda CM400E. Thought I'd start at $2000 for the XS and $1500 for the Honda. Both run well, and don't need much mechanical, everthing works. Just a bit rough around the edges.

Use to be a really good one across the river from Buffalo. I think it was in St. Cathrines Ont. It was in a hockey rink. The last time I went, they had everything from basket knuckles, and table after table of parts. I found a drum brake front end for my friends 68 sporty for 90 bucks. i really don't remember what town in Can. it was in but you might be able to google it.

I went up. It was mostly Harley stuff, kinda expected that. A fair mix of new and used parts. Lots more bikes on display than I thought. Lots more older bikes than newer custom choppers. A couple 46 Whizzers.A couple older Hendersons with the inline 4's. One a regular bike the other had body work enclosing most of it.
A couple old Indians, A Chief and a Scout. Even saw a 74 Kawasaki H-2 750.
Lots of older Harley's. Flatties, Knucks, Pans.
Did find one guy that had a few Jap parts, Honda V65 Magna parts.
One place had an 650 Triumph that needed a lot of work. A 650 BSA in the same shape.
I did pick up a battery cover for my Harley. $2 Some parts were good prices, some not so good.
Had a pretty good band playing.
Well worth the $15 entry fee.

I forgot my camera. A friend took some pics with his phone. Here are the ones I found on his face book. Not all the pics I thought he took.
#1 I think it said a 1912 Henderson, Inline 4 cylinder engine. Maybe 1920 don't remember now.
#2 is a 1946 Whizzer, all restored with another one behind it that wasn't.
#3 was one of the parts sellers.
#4 is a nice old school panhead chop.

Here's one more. A nice old flathead. The front wheel to the left is the front wheel of another Henderson, like the first one just no body work.

Kups... Howard County, MARYLAND??!! Got any more information on this? This is literally nearly right in my back yard and I had no idea of it. If it's the first weekend in March, the weather's supposed to be crappy... at least Saturday.

Thanks, mbae and Kups! Funny that... I found the link to it on the Fairgrounds' site, but the info was blocked from work. Figures.

I have been living in HoCo since '87, been riding since '06, and have owned/been working on the TX since '07... but had never heard of this meet. I'm going to have to try like hell to ride up there if the schedule and weather are clear. Never had a chance to take my TX to a show or meet.
