I don’t have part #6, the lock washer, if I bought a nut that has a built in lock ring could I omit that part?

Yes, I suppose you could, but it may not be easy (or cheap) to find a lock nut that size. Might be easier just to add a normal lock washer under the nut.

That lock washer is on eBay for less than $7 new. Just search using the part #, 90215-14055
