Syncing Carbs with pod filters

I currently don't have to do this because I did it when I had the stock air filters on but it came to thought the other day.

When syncing carbs with pod filters is there anything different with the procedure that I should know?
Using gauges of course.
I was thinking this because the PCV tubes are no longer connected to the box but with their own filter and I was wondering would this throw off the gauges?

Any special procedures that need to be done while doing this?

Don't use gauges..................use a manometer. Nothing changes using pods or stock air box. The crankcase breather hoses etc. have no effect on syching.
