I'm not quite ready to start wiring the whole bike yet, but getting ready to test fire the engine. I want to rig it so I can use the starter to crank it over. I know I can just jump the starter right off the battery but I really don't feel much like welding with my battery cables.

I'm using the MikesXS starter relay. Am I correct with this wiring idea?

Battery Neg to solid frame/engine ground, Battery Pos to one terminal on starter relay, other relay terminal to starter motor. Then Battery Pos to Brown wire of stock '76 controls and one small wire on relay, starter button wire (blue/white or red/white, cant remember right now) to other small wire on relay, and control housing grounded through bars.

I know, it seems excessive for just test starting an engine, but I'm still trying to learn as much as I can about wiring, and going through a few motions like this helps cement the concepts and theory in my head. Hopefully it stays in there, and when I'm ready for final wiring, I'll be able to nail it all in one shot.
