Oh yeah love checking out the pipe dream engines. So many designs seem cool till you see the part count and bizarre machining necessary to build them.

Note these are stationary power plants for co-gen where weight isn't an issue.

And they are in volume production.
 
A couple of animated clips have already been posted of cylinders that rotate, RBR and Hale. Those types fascinate me for sure. Here is another. Thinking about the fuel distribution on this one when taking centrifugal force into the equation gives me a headache.

 
If we can just post "unusual" engines....

Millyard is rather famous for "big" engines. He builds with simple tools and they run, at least for demonstration purposes.
