The swingarm locking tab: is it necessary?

Lost mine. Can't find a repop. Would red locktite take care of the problem?

In that location thread locker isn't a good idea and isn't needed anyway. Just install a nylock nut and crank it down to spec torque.

Hi QWERTY,
nylok nut for sure and if you still have the stock M14 ended swingarm thrubolt the time to replace it with an aftermarket M16 ended one is BEFORE the M14 end pops off to let the bolt fall out onto the street.

I used a Nylock, i.e., plastic insert locking nut, on mine.
