If he's replacing a TCI with a Pamco, how does he get ignition advance properties? Does he have to find a mechanical advance unit from another bike?

Ok, cool, just wondering.
uhhh, no, but i'll reread it until i do. it sounds like something bad happened to an otherwise good coil. i blame the TCI. i'm gonna go with a pamco point system when i get the monies. i do thank you for explaining it to me though. that's what i really wanted to know. 
What's the fair price and where can I get one for that?
Well I have one I'll sell you for $98
I should have said, I would never pay $99 for a used TCI.
