I have a 1979 xs650 with a pma from mikesxs everything was running pretty well until i tried to reinstall the battery because i was looking for a smoother output than what the cap provides after reinstalling the battery it started running horrible with bad delay and choking long story trying a static test with a multimeter i 0 out at either bdc or 90 degrees before fire i tore the top end apart to double check and see if the cam chain had slipped but the cam shaft was dead on with tdc put it back together and found if i turn the points lobe upside down and backwards my meter would 0 out perfectly right on the firing mark tried to start it like this but got nothing put the lobe back to where i get fire at 90 degrees before tdc and the bike is willing to run knowledge would greatly appreciated as i have no job or money and this is my only means of transportation
