I'm putting forks from a Yamaha XV920RH on my tracker project and have been thinking of shortening them as they are 2" longer than the stock "Special" forks. I'm putting a 19" wheel on the back therefore raising the rear end which made me think twice. Maybe I should leave well enough alone as raising the rear will make the steering angle steeper so if I put slightly longer forks on then will that maintain the proper steering angle? Any thoughts on this? Thanks

I'd wait till you get it rideable. You can then adjust things as needed.

Thanks, will probably do that.

I would assume that on the tracker project you would benefit from the steering angle change that raising the rear suspension would give. I would definitely keep the steering angle (rake), stock and raise the rear a couple of inches to get some increased steering response and speed into the front end.

Just my opinion. It is best to do this once you get the bike all together though, as Leo says.
