Hi,
Nathn Lovern here. I posted earlyier when i got my 82 XS650 that when i rode my wife on it it bucked and jerked alot when speeding up but not under light loads and it doesnt do it with me at all.
Well today at work i goosed it in the parking lot in first and it speed up fast then jerk/bucked twice. I let off the gas and it quit.
If it was a tranny prob it would do it all the time. Gears change smoothly and quietly up to where i change gears at 4,500. Clutch doesnt slip at all.
Im wondering if the TCI box could be cutting out when the spark advances under a heavy load. Is this possible? Has anyone else experenced this with an 80-83 TCI XS?
anyone heard of this problem?
Im stumped. The XS also seems to loose grunt after 4,500 rpm,s. I dont really try to go any higher i dont need to.
