Yesterday me and my wife took the Flying Pumpkin on Saskatoon's Salvation Army
Christmas toy run. Too soon? It used to be the first week of October but one year an early sleet
storm motivated moving the event to September for a better hope of reasonable riding weather.
I just about refrigerated my replicator on that year's ride because you can't stop a police escorted
bike parade to put on a rainsuit.
But this year we had perfect riding weather and local TV coverage on the evening news program.
The bewhiskered Harley rider who organized the ride got an interview with a whole minute of airtime.
All we got was a two second long shot when the ride pulled out. Mind you, it could have been any
leather-jacketed clown in a full-face helmet waving at the camera but our Tangier Orange coloured
XS11 sidecar rig is kinda unmistakable.
