Hey guys,

I recently did a pma swap, capacitor and electronic ignition on a 1981 xs650. I got spark right away and it starts just great. When I ride it tho. It has barely any power and in 1st it kinda revs up and goes but nothing after that. I am not familiar, but does this just sound like an ignition timing issue?

The bike ran pretty good before the swap!

What have you got for an electronic ignition and have you timed it? Recommendations are to do one at a time to ensure that they both work. A battery should be used to set timing before capacitor from what I have read too.
