After a hectic year, I'm finally getting back to my build. Had some life changing events put a stop to my project, but I'm ready to go now. I need to get my cylinder valves seated and or ground. I'm not comfortable doing them so wanted to see if anyone here can do them. They may just need lapped. I had one valve that was pitted and have purchased a new replacement for that one.

Personally, I would search Google and Yelp for a qualified machine shop in your area and have them do a valve job. Should cost around $100 and maybe less. that pitted valve could have probably been cleaned up no problem unless it was really bad. Unless the stem diameter is really worn or the end of the stem is pitted or damaged XS650 Valves are usually quite durable and reusable. Measure the free length of your inner and outer valve springs to make sure they're still in spec.
