Went to CJ's for breakfast with the guys. Took a map with me to decide where I was going to ride. I decided to head south. I was thinking Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca. When I got to the Sonoita crossing and I thought "NO, been there done that. Let do Nogales." Turned the forks to the right. Nice road. Very little traffic, but a bit overcast and cool. First stop was the town of Patagonia. Vickie and I stayed at the Stage Stop Inn. Nice place. Next stop, the boarder town of Nogales AZ/Sonora Mexico. On I-19N going home, the signs are in KM, not miles. Complete with a Boarder Patrol Inspection stop for traffic going both ways. Seens there is one on every North & South Highways. Finally home near DMAFB. I'm about 6 blocks away from the main gate.

Madera Canyon is cool and 62 to the east over to 83 is rather interesting.
East Carr Canyon Road west off 92 out of southern Sierra Vista up to the Reef Townsite NF campground is a worthwhile trip. We did those with the van but a bike would have been more funner!
You lucky dog to be able to cruise that area this time of year! We walked the dog in 40 degree rain today.

Nice Roadtrip! My wife and I have been down to the Sonoita/Elgin/ Sierra Vista/ Hereford area many times. Never been to Patagonia, isn't there a lake somewhere down there? There are some very nice wineries down that way, and I love the rolling grassy hills. There is also a pretty large antelope herd that roams the hills around Sonoita/Elgin area. Sometimes when we've been down there the wind was absolutely HOWLING!
Great pics! Thanks for posting!

Yes, a lake with swimming area and beach. Marina with paddle boats and small engined boats for rent. $15 entry to the park. RV and tent camping available. Really nice area. Curvy road to get there.
