What’s the diff ?

Not sure... 80's didn't use 75' points.... so I wonder if the 80 cam has the pin holes for the advance unit.. and cam lobe.. ? Was the 80 cam neutered by the EPA .. ? Different spec's ? Perhaps someone has a 80 cam sitting on the bench and can eyeball the pin holes ?

Many had issues trying to fitting bushings for advance rods into the later TCI cams, result would be a cracked cam end. My theory was the bushing bores were no longer being final reamed to size. On the other hand they were installing bushings from MikesXS...........
Other than that I think it will plug n play.

Here are pics of a cam I recently picked up. Pin hole is present and same location at TDC mark. No bushings present on either end unless someone took them out....not bloody likely! Lol I installed the bronze bushings in a cam before just need to take your time and sand down the edges of the bushing. Put a bit of grease and tapped in no trouble. I have NOS labyrinth bushings to install when my ignition fails and I replace with my backup Boyer. Hope this helps someone. JC
