What do you do for a living ???

What a coincidence, I happened to have the only job better than yours. I'm a Firefighter. FDNY Engine Company 320, Hook & Ladder 167....The Patriots.

Right on - much respect! Love working on these trucks to support you guys. 95% of the wiring on my bike was done from excess wiring from OnSpot tire chains, Vulcan Streamlights, and R.O.M. switches haha. You guys run Seagraves out there right?

Work on medical imaging equipment . Primarily vascular X-ray equipment . If you have had a heart cath you know . I support other engineers now .
I love it . I also like wrenching on old 650s.
Regards,
Dave

RetroLS1 I get to enjoy your product and I have seen one of those trucks around considering I am somewhat local to you. I am a Firefighter for the Air Force. Also a firefighter for a small town and still in the military, on the side I do custom woodworking...

Formerly a Ford Senior Master Technician, then Ford Motor Co Service Training Instructor for the Mid-Atlantic region (Wash DC and Philly), and for the past eight years, professor of Automotive Technology at the Community College of Baltimore County in Catonsville, MD, near BWI airport. Specifically, the Ford ASSET college program.

I was a little later starting that career than most, didn't get into it until my 20's. Prior to that, I worked in electronic security. I did installs and service of burglary and fire detection, cctv, ingress/egress controls, building automation, you name it. Had some interesting customers, too. Like all the big Balto/Wash DC area military contractors, even some Pentagon work. That was back in the late 80's/early 90's.

Between and during those, I spent time in the USAF/MDANG, 135th TAG. Air Transportation Specialist 60555/2T255, Mobile Aerial Port. Supported Desert Success and Deny Flight (Bosnia) out of Germany and Italy. Some of the best experience of my life.

Hey Josh, you know my buddy Adam Brandt out there at SWR ? He and I belong to the local VW clubs. My Brother-in-Law Matt Oldham used to work out there also in the diesel dyno lab.
BTW, could you be persuaded in boost referencing a Holley 500 2bbl for my 57 Turbo Bug ?

I'm a auto body tech and painter. Been doing it for 30 plus years now.
I've worked at the current shop for 20 years. Good lord, I'm gettin' old!

Checkered past; degree in English composition, USMC Viet Nam vet, 26 years in advertising agencies. In 1992 I sold my ad agency interests to my partners and moved to our lake cabin in North Central MN. Started a vacation property management business which kept me busy for the next 20 years. This spring I sold that business to my employees and am now retired. Once in a while I fill in if the guys are short handed but mainly I fish, work on old boats and motorcycles, ride the twisties with other old fart friends and spend the worst of winter in Baja, Mexico.

It could be worse.

Sure bud, I still do some side work. I kept all the tools, but sold off all my inventory. I also do a neat mod to the base plate to boost reference the throttle shaft to keep fuel from coming out in that area, unless of course you plan on running carb in sealed box, probably ain't enuff room in that bug for that.

I can't say that I know your friend. The name sounds familiar. I have yet to work in the diesel lab, happy about that though. My friend works down there, he says at the end of the day when he puts his feet up in his recliner he can still feel the vibes comin' up through his legs, that sucks. Also, the f-ing noise. I spent a few years down in the fleet lab runnin' cars on chassis dynos. Now, I am in gasoline lab just up the hill from diesel.
