It's a bit easier than a J-79 though....I'm just an engine guy, I really like em'.
Yeah, but getting to bump the burner in the cell after build-up...makes the ground shake. It's a bit easier than a J-79 though....
You can have your cell. I'm a line guy. I'll take 2 TF-30's on the trim pad... at night... in full burner.... I'm gettin' goose bumps here...Yeah, but getting to bump the burner in the cell after build-up...makes the ground shake.
Hoooo yeah! But if your not chained down you'll slide your tires! Oh, your on the trim pad, your chained! You know how it feels when you bump burner and the front end settles. You can feel it strain at the chain. Our TF-30's didn't have burners. They were in our A-7's.You can have your cell. I'm a line guy. Our 111's had the TF's with burners. The A-7's I worked had TF-41's. Yeah, no burners on them either. I'd give a lot to spend another night on the pad.Hoooo yeah! Yep, we moved to TF-41's from 30's. Mostly the attack A/C. The fighters had the burners. I forget, your Hound Dogs had J-52's in the pods or were theyOur 111's had the TF's with burners. A Boeing 757 will jump chocks or ground loop with the brakes set. Takeoff power runs require a big load of fuel for necessary weight.Hoooo yeah! But if your not chained down you'll slide your tires! I know they got them big fan engines, either Pratt or Rolls.A Boeing 757 will jump chocks or ground loop with the brakes set. Takeoff power runs require a big load of fuel for necessary weight.
As a mechanic on the line, I prefer the Rolls. It's much more reliable from my perspective. 41,000 lbs thrust IIRC. The airplane looks better with P&W 2000 on it. Of course, that's subjective.I know they got them big fan engines, either Pratt or Rolls.
