There was an ad for a complete 650 bobber built from a '71 which seller had put on a set of '76 forks, so I contacted him to see what he had left over.
I bought a drum brake front wheel (good condition) with a pair of parts quality fork legs, a set of three silver cables - speedo, brake and clutch, an oddly coloured tank and headlight, decent 2 into 1 exhaust, an oil screen and two side filters, Pamco e advance and a bunch of other stuff.
My second guessing starts now.

Tech tip: Smear a blob of heavy axle grease on 'em. They don't fly off then.... and if they do, they leave a trail.I lost one of those teeny tiny E clips for the fuel cap pins
