Hi, I have a Bates type (side mounts) headlight for my chopper. It works fine with the 3 way toggle switch. Low beam - off - high beam.

However it didn't come with a little bulb to put in the pinch type bracket on the inside of the headlight shell for the high beam indicator. (blue glass)

Can anyone tell me what sort of bulb I should buy?
(am running really short on funds and would prefer not to have to go through trial and error at the auto parts store)

thanks,
Em

If its the wedge base type, then you likely need a 194 bulb, which are 3 watts:

hmm, ok. I had imagined a metal base and me needing to solder short pigtails onto contact dots at the bottom of it, for power and a ground. I guess I may need to do trial and error, but the holder it snaps into isn't very big. I guess I could take the headlight shell into the store with me.
thx!
