what throttle for my chopper

What throttle are you guys usibg on your choppers? I picked up a cheap single cable throttle at a swap meet but the place where the cable entered the sleeve didnt match up and it was made of all plastic. I dont want to spend a lot of money. Any ideas? What do you use and where can I find it?

The monster craftsman throttle is what I'm running. It's clean and it's pretty cheap. I can take a pic later if you want one.

I'm running it with stock bs34s. Should be able to use it on any single cable setup I would think.

That would make sense. Only reason I ask is because I remember reading over this (http://www.xs650.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12517) thread. And the throttle they use looks a lot like the one in your link. You didn't need to modify yours in any way?

It's been a while but I believe there's a barrel adjuster on the stock setup that wouldn't work. I used a rubber spacer on the threads of the cable fitting so it just sits in the housing. There's a little play with it not being threaded in but doesn't make any difference.

Ok i went to a local bike shop and ordered a generic single pull setup. I guess the easy thing to do would have been to change the cable to fit the throttle housing. Might still have to do that. The monster craftsman one is prob the way I should have went
