Right now have just enough white stuff to mostly cover the grass but the driveway is 99% clear as it was a bit warner and melted as soon as it hit. Might need to be careful because temps dropped in to the 20's F last night soe there is probably a bit of ice in places.

92 degrees in Phoenix yesterday. We broke a record, it’s supposed to be a very hot and dry winter here. :(

Up north we just add more clothes to go outside
It gets to the point where you can shed only so much before the neighbors take notice

We had an extremely hot and dry summer, we broke every high temperature record on the books. We were really looking forward to cooling down and maybe getting a little much needed rain this winter, but forecasts are telling us not to expect much relief.

End of a Bright Crisp Day
Got up to 6 today, supposed to stay above freezing tonight; nice sliver of a new moon standing on its heel.

just stopped digging for the day, or night, or uhhhh next day its 1 am, I read that article on the guy Frank Lloyd Wright., aperently no one is safe from rificule on the internet, it said 7 things frank got WRONG, jeez, one was the houses "waste alot of energy" well when he was desighning houses we all thought energy was endless and abundant, well most people did, the only thing I agreed upon was not thinking about future mantanence , being the kinda guy I am I could se it being a problem when what you need to fix is behind a granite wall, lol, but my writing here is more or less to say that NO one stands the test of time NOR the scorn of the internet, people these days have nothing better to do than pic apart the imperfections we all have that make us unique, maybe im just delerious but I for one am tired, tired of the interernetworld tearig everyones hard work and creativity down, its like I want to say to the internet world "what have U acomplished" and Im not talking about anyone here on the forum, so far everyone has been suportive and friendly and just watched with curiosity as I make mistakes or fumble,,, ... just wrighting what im thinking out loud , soposed to see the sunshine tomaroow, I cant wait YAY

Billy, you are so right, a lot of people with nothing better to do than spend their time on the internet knocking the achievements of others.

I feel for you having to dig storm drains to try and save your home from flooding - what a nightmare.

Weather here has turned colder. Which means the cooncil lorries have been out. Yesterday was beautiful, set out on the Honda NX250, reached the main road, turned back after a mile, just so much salt everywhere. Spent the next half hour washing the chain in paraffin. Kerosene in the US?

Signals the end of the riding season until maybe the odd opportunity if there is some rain to wash the roads.

    Hi Raymond,
yes, North Americans say kerosene instead of paraffin. They also think paraffin means candle-wax.
and NOBODY over 'ere knows what DERV is.
Time was, I ran two chains. One on the bike t'other in a can of LinkLyfe. Clean'n'swap every 1,000 miles.
These days I run an O-ring chain lubricated with a ScottOiler. I reckon my sprockets & chain will out-live me.
