Wheel Troubles

Alright, this isn't an XS650 part. However I have no idea how to remove the axle from this wheel. Any suggestions?

Put a wrench on the flat area on the speedo drive side and venture to say the same on the disc brake side and turn one counter clockwise as viewed from end of the axle. Looks like the axle end on the disc side screws off. May need to soak with penitrateing oil first.
