When Pamco Ignition and Advance fail?

When they fail completely do they fail on advance or retarded timing.
I seem to recall but cant find post that if they fail completely the bike runs rich.
I think Pete built in this safety but cant confirm. Finally got my bike back up and running ,charging
and starting great! My Advance had totally failed and the Mikes xs Ignition was defective (bad batch)
I noticed that somehow in all the issues this year with bad rotors, ignitions , ect I have lost some
compression on left side, only 6 lbs but its always been the same on both sides till I had all the problems.
Maybe the left side got really hot when the electrical wasn't working rite. Hard to say but bike still runs great!

6 lbs is well within the 10% allowed. Ride,be happy.
