I know for a fact I have the correct Haynes manual since on the back it says it covers my bike; however, when listing measurements, it doesn't list every model. It only lists a few, which most commonly are the following
  1. XS1B
  2. XS2
  3. TX650
  4. TX650A
  5. XS650B
  6. XS650C

Which one of these should I use when looking up specifications on a XS 650 SG?

depends on what your doing. mines also sg, but its chopped. my other sg, I use #6 for most things motor related.

Thanks for the link, but the XS650SG doesn't have a manual linked to it. :(

I guess I don't fully understand yet, because the manual I have, specifically says the following on the back.

Models covered by this manual
Yamaha XS1, XS1B, and XS2. 653cc. US 1970 to 1973
Yamaha TX650. 653cc. US 1973 to 1974
Yamaha XS650 BC, D, E, F, G, H. 653cc. US 1974 to 1981
Yamaha XS650 SE, SF, 2F, SG, SH, SJ, SK. 653cc. US 1978 to 1983
Yamaha XS650 . 653cc. UK 1975 to 1981
Yamaha XS650SE Special US Custom. 653cc. UK 1979 to 1982

Mine would clearly fall under the emboldened one, but why would they not list mine or something similar to it when specifying measurements? I just need to do a valve clearance adjustment. It shouldn't be this difficult to find proper the measurements. Thoughts?

Huh??? It's right at the top of the list, lol. Click on it then choose the SG supplement at the bottom of the list in the left column.

For the "XS650" it is, but there isn't one for the "XS 650 SG". I see a "G", but no "SG" manual.

EDIT: Nvm. I see what you mean. Thanks!
