Spent yesterday pull'n carbs off .. first my buddies shovel head ... main jet plug'd.... then we pull'd the carb off my Sr 500.... been setting for over 2 yrs....start..die..start die....wouldn't idle....main jet was clear but we swear a rock was inside the idle jet..
then I saw my grandsons 65' 650 Tiger in the back of the shop... been under a old army blanket for 3 yrs... stuck slide.... pull'd the carb...(since it's a Tiger, only one carb) clean the carb.... replaced fuel lines.. new battery... 2nd kick.. it's running.
so at the end of the day.. they'r all runners.... I still have my XS units and others to fire up... but I use fuel additives and they get used yearly. Perhaps that helps.
